Omar (Arabic: عُمَرْ‎) or Farouk Omar (Persian: عمر فاروق‎‎) is a historical Arab television drama miniseries-serial that was produced and broadcast by MBC1 and directed by Hatem Ali. Co-produced by Qatar TV, the series is based on the life of Omar ibn Al-Khattab, the second Caliph of Islam, which depicts his life from being 18 years old to till the moments of his death.

The series consists of 30 episodes and was originally aired in the month of Ramadan since July 20, 2012.It was made at a cost of 200 million Saudi riyals and filmed in Morocco, primarily in the cities of Marakesh, Tangiers, El Jadida, Casablanca and Mohammedia. After the series was broadcast on MBC, it was dubbed into several languages for international broadcast and subtitled in English on YouTube; it received great support from many different scholarly bodies and people watching it.

Saladin (TV Series)

Saladin (Arabic: صلاح الدين Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn) is an animated project inspired by the life Salah Al-Din Yusuf Ibni Ayub, the Islamic hero who united Muslims in the holy war against the Crusaders in the 12th century. The series was conceived and produced by the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) in Malaysia. Saladin will be a 13-part animated TV series. Production started in May 2004 and a six-minute trailer was previewed during the Multimedia Super Corridor’s 10th Anniversary celebration in April 2005. The first (new) episode aired in late 2009, which afterwards, was one of the biggest Animation successes.

Muhammad: The Final Legacy (TV Series)


Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) The Final Legacy and "Qamar Bani Hashem" is a 2008 historical Arab drama series directed by Mohammad Sheikh Najib, which is currently airing on Islam Channel weekly. It is the first drama series which has depicted the life of Muhammad mostly maintaining the Islamic traditions and depictional restrictions. Primarily its name was Qamar Bani Hashim and was aired on the month of Ramadan of 2008 on the LBC network.[3] The series portrays the full life of Muhammad without depicting him and his caliphs and wives according to Islamic tradition.

In 2010, it was aired in Kanal 7 of Turkey titling Muhammed(SAV) n hayati dubbed in Turkish[4] and in ramadan 2011, it was aired in Geo tv of Pakistan entitling Muhammad(S.A.W.) Sayyed-e-Qaunain with urdu dubbing.

Prophet Joseph (Persian: یوسف پيامبر‎) is a 2008 Iranian television TV series directed by Farajollah Salahshoor, which tells the story of Prophet Joseph from the Quran and Islamic traditions.[1] It is also set in the historical context of the Amarna period of ancient Egypt.

Prophet Joseph is a Persian-language Iranian mini-series originally broadcast in 2008, which tells the story of prophet Yusuf (or Joseph) according to the Islamic tradition. Realistic depictions of everyday life are represented. Each episode in the series begins with a poly-phonic recitation of the first four verses (ayah) of the chapter (surah) on Yusuf.
The 45 episodes of the series are replete with themes on filial love, personal journey through life (within family and on one's own), personal character, submission, prayer, prophethood, idolatry, monotheism, loyalty, betrayal, carnal desires, nature of various kinds of love, separation, abandonment, slavery, social organizations at various levels, nature of political authority, governance, strategy, various ideologies (and their implications), anticipation, and finally, forgiveness and salvation.
The movie meanders through the existential lives of three principal characters (Yusuf, Zuleikha and Ya'qub) with dozens of other major and minor characters.
The story in the series starts in the south of Babylon, in the second millennium BC, depicting Ya'qub's battle against idolatry (of Ishtar) in Mesopotamia and the miraculous birth of Yusuf.

It was subsequently released on DVD, with other editions including one with English sub-titles, and one dubbed into Urdu. The series covers the events before the caliphate of Ali ibn Abi Talib to his assassination in Kufa, Iraq

Salah Al-Din (Arabic: صلاح الدين الأيوبي‎) is a 2001 historical Arabic television series directed by Hatem Ali which deals with the political events in the sixth century AH in the region of the Levant and Egypt, in the scene of the Crusades. The series focuses on the biography of Salah ad-Din and highlights his courage and good creation and wisdom as he tells how he managed to unite the Muslims and crush the crusaders in the battle of Hattin and restore Jerusalem after being taken away by the Crusaders for almost a hundred years. The series presents the historical narrative from an Islamic point of view and distanced itself from the thorny areas between Sunnis and Shiites, as it refrains from addressing the Fatimid Ismaili Shiite orientation and the difference between it and the Zengid Sultanate of the Sunni Abbasid Caliphate, whether in faith or practice. The series consists of thirty episodes starting from the birth of the protagonist and continues to display events in chronological order with exposure to other threads complementary to the story and related to the historical period, the series conjuncts with the series Searching for Salah al-Din by Najdat Anzour on the impact of the Al-Aqsa restore, which began in autumn 2000.
