Abraham: The Friend of God (Persian: ابراهيم خليلالله) — is an Iranian film released in 2005 and directed by Mohammad Reza Varzi. The film tagline is: An Islamic and Biblical epic story of the man known as the Father of many nations. The film is about the prophet Abraham based on the verses of the Holy Quran.
The film depicts the period of time of the prophet Abraham, and the moment when Abraham punishes the of inhabitants of Babylon. It takes a close look at the extraordinary life of Abraham and portrays the trials and tribulations he had to face while delivering his message of monotheism to his people. The film also shows the history of other people, including Ishmael, Azar, Sarah, Nimrod, Lotand Hagar amongst others.
